Congressman Maxwell Frost Statement on Passing of Florida AFL-CIO President, Mike Williams
ORLANDO, FL — Today, Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost (FL-10) released a statement following the passing of Florida AFL-CIO President Mike Williams.
In a statement, Rep. Frost says:
“Today, my heart breaks for the Williams family and the Florida AFL-CIO.
“Mike Williams was a giant and a labor icon across the state of Florida. Those of us who knew Mike knew him to be a selfless champion of working people – someone who woke up each and every day with a fierce commitment to helping working families and building long-lasting coalitions of power.
“Mike fought day in and day out to ensure that working Floridians thrived, not just survived. Because of him, our state and our workplaces are better off. We will honor Mike with action and continue in the pursuit and struggle of ensuring justice for all working people across Florida.
