Passports
If you have international travel plans, check your passport's expiration date now. Many countries require that your passport be valid for at least six months after your planned departure. We will do everything we can to help you if you need your passport for urgent, upcoming travel, but please submit your application or renewal as early as possible. |
Traveling internationally this year? Be sure to apply or renew your passport sooner rather than later. Processing times may take longer than usual when applications rise. Apply or renew here.

Please note we are only able to assist constituents of Florida's 10th Congressional District (Central Florida/Orlando). Find your representative.
If you need assistance with your passport or application, and none of the below options apply to you, please reach out to our office using our Constituent Services request form to streamline your case.
If your immediate family member passed away (or has a life-threatening illness or injury) and you need a valid passport, please reach out to our office using our Constituent Services request form so we may contact the Department of State on your behalf. You will need to fill out a passport application and provide us with: 1) proof of imminent travel, 2) evidence of an ill or deceased relative (i.e., a medical document that must be translated to English by a certified translator) and 3) evidence of relationship to the ill or deceased relative. Please see the Department of State’s page on expedited passport applications here.
If you have urgent international travel in the next 14 calendar days for reasons other than a life-or-death emergency, you may call the National Passport Information Center to request an appointment at 1-877-487-2778.
If you have travel planned within the next couple of months and need to renew your passport, you may request expedited processing of your application. Please note, even expedited processing can take up to 5 weeks. This does not include mailing times. For more information, visit the State Department website.
Before you book your travel, we encourage you to look up travel restrictions here. The Department of State encourages travelers to enroll in their Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP), which is a free service that allows U.S. citizens and nationals traveling abroad to receive country-specific safety updates, and ensures the U.S embassy can contact you in the event of an emergency.
More Information about Renewals
When should I renew my passport? Don’t let an expired passport ruin your travel plans. The Department of State recommends renewing your passport at least six months before it expires to give yourself plenty of time to avoid last-minute travel stress. Apply or renew here.
Can I renew my passport online? YES! Online Passport Renewal 2.0 (OPR 2.0) has launched and is now available 24/7 for eligible adults wishing to renew their passports online instead of mailing in the renewal form DS-82. Applicants may access OPR 2.0 to submit their renewal here. Processing times for renewing online are 6-8 weeks*.
