Congressman Maxwell Frost Statement on GOP Dysfunction as House Remains Speakerless

WASHINGTON D.C — Today, Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost (FL-10) released a statement following the continued failure of House Republicans as the GOP conference was yet again unable to elect a new Speaker of the House.

In a statement, Rep. Frost says:

“For weeks, our country has watched the Republican conference flounder and fight internally just to get to this very point, where once again we see the GOP be unable to unite behind a Republican Speaker, while democrats are united behind Leader Hakeem Jeffries – who continues to have the most votes for speaker.

“Republicans have proven since day one that they are and remain unserious about our country’s challenges and the work we need to get done.

“The people of Central Florida are watching $11.3 million in community funding projects slip out of our grasp because House Republicans can’t get their act together. Every minute we waste on Republican dysfunction is a minute gone by without offering real solutions to the problems we’re facing in Florida.”
