Congressman Maxwell Frost Selected Freshman Leader of House Pro-Choice Caucus
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Maxwell Alejandro Frost (FL-10) announced his selection as Freshman Leader of the House Pro-Choice Caucus, underscoring his commitment to fighting for reproductive rights across Florida and the nation.
The Caucus, which is led by co-Chairs Rep. Barbara Lee (TX) and Rep. Diana DeGette (CO), is laser focused on protecting and defending policies to secure the right to choose and bodily autonomy for all Americans.
“With Roe protections gone and Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida legislature passing one of the harshest abortion bans in the nation, my home state has been on the frontlines of the battle for reproductive freedom,” said Rep. Frost. “We will not allow the government to hold ultimate control over any person’s body. Abortion is healthcare, and I vow to use my voice in this Caucus to protect and defend reproductive rights for the people of Florida, and across the country.”
"Throughout his run for office and his first weeks in the House of Representatives, Representative Maxwell Frost has shown a steadfast commitment to protecting his constituents' reproductive rights,"said Pro-Choice Caucus co-Chairs Rep. Diana DeGette and Rep. Barbara Lee. "Representative Frost's story of advocacy and persistence makes him a powerful voice for Floridians and for his generation. As co-Chairs of the Congressional Pro-Choice Caucus, we are proud to welcome him to Congress and to the Caucus leadership team, and we look forward to working alongside him to defend reproductive freedom and expand abortion access for all people."
