Listed below are the fifteen projects Congressman Frost requested for FY26:

Aquifer Storage and Injection Feasibility Project

Project Recipient: Orange County Government

This project is to evaluate the feasibility of injecting and storing treated reclaimed water within a confined aquifer for future retrieval during periods of high demand, thereby enhancing reclaimed water supply within the service area, as well as assessing the potential for deep well injection as a method for disposing of membrane concentrate, a byproduct generated during the production of drinking water from alternative sources such as brackish water and reclaimed water (potable reuse).

This project is to prevent one of the leading causes of power outages, which are especially common after storm activity, by using technology to proactively manage hazardous trees, overhands, invasive species, and bamboo across the distribution lines.
