Congressman Maxwell Frost Statement on the Passing of Senator Dianne Feinstein
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost (FL-10) released a statement following the death of California Senator Dianne Feinstein.
In a statement, Rep. Frost says:
“Senator Dianne Feinstein was the definition of a trailblazer, someone who shattered glass ceilings for millions while paving a bold and courageous way forward on the progressive policies that supported our communities and permanently changed our country for the better.
“It’s because of Senator Feinstein that countless lives were saved from gun violence through her legislation to institute a federal assault weapons ban, an effort she fought for until her very last days.
“A true champion of the LGBTQ community, of women’s reproductive rights, of access to affordable care, and of working people — today, the United States Senate has lost a giant.
“May Senator Feinstein rest in peace.”
