Congressman Maxwell Frost Presents Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts with $750,000 Grant for Judson’s Live
ORLANDO, FL — On Friday, February 2, 2024 Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost (FL-10) presented a $750,000 federal grant to the Dr. Phillips Center for Judson's Live, a new intimate music room that opens its doors to the public this week. This new venue, which will welcome all music genres, is set to become a transformative space for the community, offering unique musical and dining experiences.
Former Congresswoman Val Demings secured this funding as one of her community funding projects during her term in 2022.
“Judson's Live is not only a performance venue; it is a transformative space with the potential to empower and uplift our community through the universal language of music,” said Congressman Maxwell Frost. “We are so grateful to the Dr. Phillips Center for continuing to pioneer innovative ways for our community to embrace the arts while making them accessible to everyone. This funding is a testament to the dedication and foresight of former Congresswoman Val Demings, whose leadership and vision have paved the way for this new community space.”
“We're grateful to Congressman Frost for supporting our vision and mission and to Congresswoman Demings for including the Dr. Phillips Center in 2023 Community Project Funding for District 10,” said Kathy Ramsberger, President & CEO of the Dr. Phillips Center. “These dollars supported the construction of our fifth venue, Judson's Live, allowing us to offer unique experiences, showcase local and world-renowned artists, and complete phase two of the arts center.”
