Know Your Reproductive Rights
Due to Congressional Rules I'm unable to direct you to resources provided by non-governmental entities. Please know that additional reproductive care and abortion resources may be available to you outside of this list. Since the Trump Administration took office, many government reproductive rights resources have been removed and are marked with a strikethrough. As this information changes, our office will continue to update this page. ------------------ THE USER ACKNOWLEDGES AND ACCEPTS THE LIMITS OF THE INFORMATION, INCLUDING THE FACT THAT THE CONTENTS ARE DYNAMIC AND IS IN A CONSTANT STATE OF MAINTENANCE, CORRECTION, AND UPDATE. Every Central Floridian deserves acessible reproducitve care, including abortion care.
Since Roe v. Wade was overturned June 2022, abortion laws and access to care have varied substantially from state to state. Florida has taken steps to restrict abortion rights. On May 1, 2024, Governor DeSantis' 6-week abortion ban went into effect.
I am here to help, and I am fighting to restore your right to make your own medical decisions.
Please review the resources below for information on knowing your rights, understanding Congressional action to advance reproductive freedom, and accessing care in Florida.

Florida
Our state provides some family planning resources. However, these resources often use inaccurate and stigmatizing language to describe abortion services. For example, Crisis Pregnancy Centers in our state are known to advertise scientifically inaccurate information about abortion. Since you are entitled to sound, judgement free reproductive care, stay vigilant when accessing the below resources. If you have questions, you can reach my office at (321) 388-9808.

- Healthy Start

Right now, if you are more than 6 weeks pregnant and want to access abortion care, you will have to travel to the nearest state where care is legal. These states are: Virginia (HERE), Ohio (HERE), and Illinois (HERE).
What I’m Doing
As a member of the House Pro-Choice Caucus (PCC), I join a team of Congress’s fiercest abortion advocates in leading our fight from inside the government to defend and expand Americans’ reproductive rights.
I am pushing back against Florida state officials’ harsh abortion laws by promoting policies that can help Central Floridians access alternative abortion care. For example, I am a cosponsor of the Ensuring Women’s Right to Reproductive Freedom Act, which safeguards rights like Central Floridian’s ability to seek an abortion across state lines.
I am also working to expand Floridian’s reproductive rights. I am a proud supporter of bills that would ensure that every Central Floridian can make their own decisions about pregnancy while alleviating the financial burden many of our most vulnerable community members face when accessing healthcare, including the Equal Access to Abortion Coverage in Health Insurance (EACH) Act, the Abortion Justice Act, and the Women’s Health Protection Act which.
